Mr. AL Pachachi - 84 years - has left to the United Arab Emirates (where he used to reside for many years) after a sudden health deterioration that took place 3 weeks ago when he was taken to a hospital in Baghdad. It’s not sure when he will be back.

In other development, half the staff members in the Prime Minister office is being changed or made redundant, at the PM’s request.

New position will be created to offset the deficiency in posts allocated for women in the new government. The post will be "Prime Minister Assistant - PMA" Its duties are different from those of the Deputy Prime Minister.

The candidate for the new post is said to be Ms. Safiya Al Suhail from the Iraqi list of Mr. Iyad Alawi.

The madness continues in the Mamoun district - one of the western districts of Baghdad, along with its neighboring Al Mansour, Adawoodi and Al Yarmouk districts, where a lucrative cargo cults of Mujahdeen (Pashtoon style short-‘Dishdashed’, Arabian Machiavellians, Baatho-forces, Anti-US forces, Star & Stripes under-shirts and God knows what) have been dancing the requiem off for the past few months.

A few days ago one young student was going back home from Al Mamoun Intermediate School for Boys where his parents were expecting him. The lad never showed up. His family – as the custom goes! – waited for the kidnapper’s ransom phone call, but that too never came.

The next morning, the first school boys who reached the school gate found the missing pupil a dead body thrown right there. He was shot twice in the head. And written instructions attached to the corpse detail the new ‘dress code’: “Any student puts jeans on, applies hair jell or wears neck chains will meet the same fate”.

THE WAR WIDOWS OF THE IRAQ INVASION - JUNE 23RD, TRAFALGAR SQUARE – LONDON, England.

Tony Benn and other speakers to be announced will be with us on the steps of St Martins in the Fields, Trafalgar square, at 3 pm on June 23rd when we read out the names of Iraqi widows and draw attention to this hidden and grossly neglected issue. We await these names now coming from our colleagues in Iraq.

Uncounted numbers of Iraqi women are now widows or wives of the disappeared.

Sole supporters of families - children, elderly, sick, wounded, traumatized they are living in extreme poverty, and as women alone vulnerable to human rights abuses of all kinds, causing irrevocable damage and deprivation of rights to their children.

There is barely a family in Iraq today that is not a family of widows - across the generations.

These women are key players in Iraq's recovery from years of oppression. Their roles must be recognized, their needs addressed and their voices heard.

Please join us on Friday June 23rd, at 3 pm, on International Widows Day, when we will be reading out the names of Iraqi widows on the steps of St. Martins in the Fields, Trafalgar square. Please bring placards and banners!

Gender redundancy or rebounding violence?

In Amriya, Saydiya and Hai AL Jamm’ah in Baghdad a Saudi emergent social paradigm is taking shape. Written warnings have been posted in the streets saying that women are not allowed to walk the streets or drive cars without a Hijab (head and neck cover) Fortunately women are still allowed to drive cars!

Rumor (or insinuating rumor!) speaks of 2 women have been killed for not obeying the Fatwa, which has been signed by unidentified Mujahideen.

In Al Thawra city (Sadr) women are forced – without a prior notice to wear the affiliated sectarian women ensemble. One young woman was stopped and beat up by the notorious Sadr's Militia for not abiding by the dress code.

Most profound and deepest condolences to Iraq and to the family of Dr. Abbas Al Ameri who was shot to death along with his child boy and one of his attendees at the gate of the University of Economics in Adhamiya on May 16th, 2006 around 5 pm by an armed militia.

Dr. Al Ameri was the head of the Management Department and the Dean Deputy to the University of Economics.

The NEW season of Hekmatyar FIVE-O series!

After the Soviet withdrawal from Afghanistan in 1989, the Mujaheddin groups began house-sweep cleaning by turning their US-supplied weapons on each other, and on the civilian population of Afghanistan. The US backed extremist Mr. Gulbuddin Hekmatyar - a close friend of bin Laden then and staunched opponent of the women liberation; began to rocket shelling Kabul and eventually to control the city after its fall.

The rise of Hekmatyar and his defense minister the Tajik Mr. Ahmad Shah Masoud - before his defection to the Northern Alliance, had led the race to the stardom of Afghanistan's warlords and cave-warfare ideologies. Hekmatyar – with total US consent, had implemented the harshest civil laws ever existed in that country’s history to that epoch. For instance, the dress codes were custom-tailored as per Fatwas to peculiar attire such as Mujaheddins’ outfit and their head-ensembles; also, the introduction of women’s bizarre and remote tribal meshed-face-set and covered sandals. Rigid segregation of genders and genders’ voice was employed too, and the list goes on. All signs of simple modern civilities were assailed as well, for example, ice was considered un-religion water source, music was a mind pollutant; vinegar was banned for being a source of Alcohol, chopping heads off was a court mandate, clergies were executed in open sports field for failing to rein to government’s convene etc. In brief, the infrastructure was set for the Taliban to flourish.

4 years later the Taliban was driven into power, with the help of the current Pakistani president-de-facto Mr. Musharaf, by ousting Hekmatyar’s rule and to establish the first official Takfiri state in the modern history of mankind.

Today and after three years of the US occupation of Iraq, Fallujah, Ramadi and many other parts of Baghdad is going through the exact cloned rites of passage. All the aforementioned Murphy’s laws are being practiced by Hekmatyarites juntas. Their rules are just as harsh and maniac, however, what will come of this is even more maddening for the nation of Iraq; that is the making way for a Taliban style tenet in the Mesopotamia to harbor Caliph & king-financed terror groups (militias) to be implicated in global crimes, and to further entrench the Iraqis in history’s vicious loopholes.

In AL Jammy'h quarter (Hai AL Jammy'h) - a middle class residential area in the west side of Baghdad - the security situation has been reduced to zero level, and the following status quo has emerged:

1. Original families lock them selves behind doors at 4 in the afternoon and never leave their homes until the next morning.
   
2. Grocery shops selling fruits and green vegetables are permanently closed after a few of their employees had been killed. It is forbidden to sell fruits and vegetables.
   
3. Barbers shops are permanently closed after killing a few of them at their shops’ doorsteps
   
4. It is forbidden to sell Ice; the iceman was murdered.
   
5. It is forbidden to sell Mobile phones; the Mobile phones stores are not allowed to open their doors.
   
6. It is forbidden to sell CDs; the CDs stores are not allowed to remain open for business after being bombed and sabotaged.
   
7. It is forbidden to sell electricity power. The generators men are not allowed to work and 2 brothers who were selling power and did not abide by the rules were murdered (Generators are sole provider of electricity to homes since the state’s electricity is available for 1 hour each 4 hours).
   
   

Civilian gunmen driving Opal and BMW made grey-colored cars help maintain the current status quo - kidnapping, Spray Shooting, Happy-trigger killing, mugging, personal assaults etc.

One of the surviving kidnapped people says that the kidnapers had squished him forcefully against the car's floor under their feet whenever the kidnapers’ car reached a control point. He adds that when they reached the hiding place his head was seriously injured, so they took him to a male nurse to mend his wounds. He said they are in control of their surroundings, and have a hide-out close to the place where they do their criminal activities!
